Blessed Beyond Measure.

I have nothing real to post other than some stuff about the mini's, but oh my goodness...it's just hit me all at once and I am so, so excited.

Tomorrow, we will be the owners of 20+ acres!!

I'm not sure if it would be considered a ranch or a farm, since we raise livestock, not crops and etc, but either way....I am so, so excited. ;) This is the beginning of a new chapter in our lives and I can't wait to see what the future holds. I can't wait to have the horses home with us and be able to start training them, letting the kids get into some lessons and just being able to go out and sit with them. I'm a total farm girl and I've been stuck on horrible 3 acres that is barely useable, so this is just a dream come true and it gives me a lot of peace about my future with horses. Before, I was worried about not being able to afford board once I move out, get a job and etc, but knowing that my horse (or horses, haha) will be at home with my parents, I know we will be able to work something out. This is scary, jumping into buying this land, but we are putting it in God's hands.

Oh man, I can't wait.

As for the mini's, Halfpint is doing amazing, we've let Cowboy and him sniff noses but no real introduction until the lice is definitely gone. He was extremely wormy and sick, but he's done good. Cowboy is doing well with having a new horse around...and he FINALLY dropped one..ahem, male part. ;) He's also turning into a sooty looking dun...weird horse. I need to get updated pictures. :)

Anyways.....I'm off to go cook and squeal some more about the land. ;)

    1. Haha, I lived in the suburbs for a loooong time as well. In my defense, the 3 acres was completely covered in glass, rocks and it was hilly and unusable. ;)

    2. Thats a shame! Before I put Carlos down I was trying to convince my mom to buy some small acreage so I could retire him to her house and I would know he was safe, maybe with a goat to terrorize.

    3. It definitely stinks, we've been trying to clean it for years but it's gonna take a lot of work (and probably a bulldozer, haha) If we had that land beforehand and you were closer, I would've loved to have him retire here. :( It's definitely a blessing.
