Ponies everywhere!

Had a nice ride with mom yesterday, was going to ride with everyone but barn sour horses ended up making us separate, haha. Tucker didn't want to move ("AM'S" horse was lame so she rode Tucker) and mom and I had to get moving or else Red and Spirit wouldn't at all...I put the bitless on Red but I quickly discovered that I needed to lunge first like they recommended and do it on a calmer day where horses weren't spooking. He had a lot of barn sour moments and I ended up with a bruised leg because he ran me into a cross tie (my fault...) but once we got going they did pretty well, just had to get them moving. Did some hill work and lots of trot/canter work. He's gaining muscle well now.

3 or 4 rides ago, AKA about 3 weeks ago.

Yesterday.
That's the different after 2 rides with a little bit of hill and trot work......so much better. Still needs work, though.

Once we were halfway through, we both had slack reins and relaxed ponies.

Headed back, brushed down the horses again, cuddled, treats and talked with everyone while we spoiled the ponies.

Spirit did really well other than being barn sour as well...all of the horses are so bad right now with it and we have no clue why...tips?

And on another note.....I have news.

We may be getting a Haflinger.

Yup! My aunt (who owned Red) is having to find her Haffie a new home, her name is Anastasia, 14.2HH, not sure of age but I think around 12ish, she's an all around type of girl, jumps, has done some dressage, western pleasure, trails, etc. She'd be mostly for my step-dad but we'd all fool around with her a lot since he doesn't get out there too much. Time will tell but we're thinking very seriously about it.
