{shalom}

Shalom, my warhorse. We rescued him in September 2014. He was skin and bones, abandoned. He had ulcers, a terrible sore on his withers...we only had him for 2 months when he continued getting worse, and he gained his angel wings on 11/15/2014.

Goodbye, Shalom. thank you for teaching me so much about rescuing, about caring and loving for a horse. Thank you for allowing me to be your "person" in your last days. I'll always love you and I'll always miss your beautiful face, your attitude. You were one of my boys, a true war horse. You've earned your wings, buddy. Fly high in heaven, I can't wait to see you again one day.

Oh my dear spirit horse,
My angel of dreams,
I look upon you spreading heavenly wings,
Your eyes twinkle with joy and you run in full stride,
With friends from the past and through fields far and wide.
I know you are happy in this perfect world.
Nobody feels pain,
Nobody feels hurt.
You look so joyful,
Running through time,
I know, Shalom, you weren't even mine.
You have gone back from where you descended,
Your coat like pure gold,
Your wounds are now mended.
I will see you again,
when my time has passed.
Until then my baby, run far and fast.
Rest easy, boy.
