I agree with the others that not all English riders are uptight. That's more a personality thing with particular people rather than the discipline they ride. Uptight people also attract more uptight people so that's probably why you're surrounded by them. Mellow people aren't going to want to hang out with people who nitpick and stress over everything. :)Achieve1dreamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15401246064499148344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8639697700009231176.post-15871386897739415762014-07-21T16:44:51.262-07:002014-07-21T16:44:51.262-07:00Good thing you made a decision your happy with! You have sooooo much going on right now to have to worry about a new "way"....try again when life is less hectic. :-)Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06094319844654083776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8639697700009231176.post-9559609604399421252014-07-21T13:38:01.673-07:002014-07-21T13:38:01.673-07:00I definitely agree that a lot of it is calm and ch...I definitely agree that a lot of it is calm and chill! It just depends on the society your in, I think. Sadly, 99% of english riders here that would be willing to help me are uptight. :/ That being said, there are just as many uptight western people, too!Kalinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11011912207459834938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8639697700009231176.post-463722438402956552014-07-21T09:53:40.466-07:002014-07-21T09:53:40.466-07:00Disagree that english isn't calm or chill. That being said, there is nothing wrong with wanting to be a pleasure rider :)SheMovedtoTexashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01062200290148658096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8639697700009231176.post-8661574335715251032014-07-21T09:41:21.013-07:002014-07-21T09:41:21.013-07:00I totally agree with that! There are definitely so...I totally agree with that! There are definitely some uptight western riders and easy going English riders. I think for the most part that in my area, the english riders are sadly of the uptight variety so it's just what I'm surrounded by, lol!Kalinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11011912207459834938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8639697700009231176.post-90741000977533337262014-07-21T09:37:43.355-07:002014-07-21T09:37:43.355-07:00Glad you've found a good fit for yourself! :)...Glad you've found a good fit for yourself! :)

Just have to point out though, that a lot of horses and riders in the English world are very chill and mellow. Not that I am picking on them but they are rather uptight and everything has to be perfect. And there are a lot of QH showing English as well.

Oh and haha on fitting a western saddle, I thought was easy to until i had a saddle fit all my horses except Jessie, didn't think she was hard to fit and then Kali didn't fit either saddle well so its not that easy either there is a lot of different shaped horses around.Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18035210092855895218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8639697700009231176.post-81846414533068023102014-07-21T08:47:08.435-07:002014-07-21T08:47:08.435-07:00Good for you for choosing what is best for you and...Good for you for choosing what is best for you and your horse! :)
Also, to me, English and Western are not all the different. I worked on my EQ big time when I rode Western and we plod around with a super low headset now that I ride English. To me its just a tack preference and not a discipline. :)Kathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09663927549661433575noreply@blogger.com
